Microsoft recently launched the latest version of the world's most popular web browser, Internet Explorer 7. In doing so, many existing websites no longer work properly.
Almost everyone using Windows will be automatically upgraded to the new version over the coming months, as Microsoft are pushing the upgrade as an automatic security update. New PCs will come with Internet Explorer 7 as standard.
Unfortunately many existing websites don't work properly (or at all) in IE7, due to differences in how the browser works. Some specific areas to check for:
- Layout changes unexpectedly or breaks
- Menus / navigation don't work
- Popup windows don't work
The only way to be sure is to try Internet Explorer 7 out yourself. If you don't already have it, we recommend you download a copy now (it's free, but can take about 30 minutes to install).
All Silktide Sport clients will have had their websites tested in IE7 already and any necessary updates made at no charge.
